Adipic Acid

For many years, "ALVIGO" has conducted scientific research and project work on the process of oxidizing cyclohexanol with nitric acid and a mixture of cyclohexanol and cyclohexanone with nitric acid to produce adipic acid. These studies have resulted in significant changes to the process scheme for obtaining adipic acid, which has elevated the technical level of product production. Based on these developments, a unit for the production of adipic acid has been created, comprising a stage for obtaining a mixture of cyclohexanol and cyclohexanone from benzene and a stage for oxidizing this mixture into adipic acid.
The advantages of the proposed adipic acid synthesis process include:
• Low consumption of raw materials and auxiliary materials;
• Reliability, stability, and safety of the reactor unit's operation;
• Efficient utilization of reaction heat;
• Long-lasting and stable operation of the crystallization unit;
• Low environmental impact;
• Minimal amount of unused waste.
Currently, "ALVIGO" specialists are working on improving existing adipic acid production units, reducing process consumption rates, enhancing product quality, and improving the environmental characteristics of the production process.
