Alvigo and Rustavi Azot Project (NACAG)
Alvigo AS has emerged as the winner of a global tender for the design, supply, and commissioning of a unit to reduce nitrogen oxide N2O and nitrous oxide NOx emissions. The tender was organized by Rustavi Azot (Indorama) with the participation and co-financing of the German government.
The project is part of a large-scale environmental modernization of the Rustavi Azot nitric acid production plant. Alvigo’s solution includes the implementation of a high-efficiency non-selective catalytic reduction (NSCR) system, enabling a reduction in emissions of more than 95%.
Working alongside partners CLARIANT AG, CE&E, and Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH under the NACAG (Nitric Acid Climate Action Group) initiative, our team has successfully integrated advanced N2O and NOx abatement technologies.
